The sun is shining over Slicetown. You go outside. You want to find places to go in Kolding, where you can enjoy your closing-time beer or your lunch basket. But where the fuck do you go? This is a guide for the best places in Slicetown, where it’s nice to be, when the sun is shining. Even though it’s nice to be outside, remember to always follow the recommendations made by the danish government.
The Stream
The stream is a part of Kolding city center, and it’s normally flocked with people as soon as the sun comes out. It’s a place where everybody in Slicetown is welcome, young, old and everything in between.
This place is especially good if, you haven’t prepared for a day in the sun, because Føtex (supermarket) is 5 steps from there. So if you just need some strawberries or a cheap beer, this is the place.
This place is not good if, you’re not that much of a sun-person, cause there’s almost no shadow here.

‘Stejlbjerganlægget‘
Stejbjerganlægget is a bit further away from the city center, but is a place, that is often overlooked on sunny days, because not many people know about it, or forget the place.
This place is especially good if, you don’t like full-on-sun, since there’s a lot of trees, so the sunscared people can also join here. If you like to enjoy the sun on a big lawn, then this place is optimally for you. There is also a bit more privatlife here, then the other places.
This place is not good if, you’re allergic to grass, you definitely have to take some antihistamine before coming here.
If you have children or a young spirit, there is also a playground. I’ll also recommend taking a stroll into cemetery next door which is beautiful.

‘Koldinghus’, or more specifically around the castle
To sit around the castle on a sunny day is popular, probably the most popular place to be on a sunfull day. You’ll find all kinds of people here, and there’s always a lovely atmosphere. Peace from the city centers life, the lake ‘slotssøen’, and icecream pretty close to.
This place is especially good if, you want to enjoy a full day in the sun, then you can move around the castle with the sun. Shopping possibilities are also pretty close if you get thirsty.
This place is not good if, you have grass allergy and if you don’t like castles I’ll recommend you staying away.
